Great Fun & Adventure Riding Down Class III/IV Rapids in the Jungle!

We start the day with a morning doorstep pick-up at your place of residence in Medellín in a company SUV with an English speaking driver.
If you are doing rafting in Guatapé bundle tour pick-up will be at 7 or 8 am depending on the bundle. If you are booking rafting only, then pick-up can be up to 9 am.
The drive to the put-in spot is 1 hour 55 minutes.
During the drive, you will enjoy some spectacular views of towering green mountains and deep canyons. The last 20 minutes of the drive are off-road, of which the last 10 minutes are off off-road. Our 4×4 vehicles negotiate a narrow, muddy trail through the thick jungle until arriving at the put-in spot next to the river. Afterward, you are received by the Guanabana rafting team that will begin the technical briefing.
Following the briefing, you are suited up with life jackets and helmets and made sure that everything fits nice and perfectly. Above all, safety first!

After the technical briefing and practice exercises, it’s time to embark on the two-and-a-half-hour journey down the Calderas river. The jungle scenery, with the high Andes mountains in the backdrop, is breathtakingly beautiful. Moreover, the river itself projects an energy that is invigorating. It flows wide and calm intermittently between the Class III/IV rapids. This is where the adrenaline kicks in, and the fun is out of this world!

Secondly, an expert certified guide steers the raft, and there’s a GoPro in it to capture your adventure. Additionally, there are also safety kayakers in the water.
