Zipline Medellín
An hour and a half east of Medellín, past the town of La Ceja, sits one of the best ziplines in the Andes. One line — 700 meters long, 300 meters above a canyon with three waterfalls dropping below. The ride lasts about a minute. That sounds short until you’re on it.
We run this as a private tour. Your group, your guide, your vehicle. No strangers, no waiting, no shared vans.
- Pickup: 7 AM from your Medellín address
- Drive: 1 hour 30 minutes east, past the town of La Ceja
- Activity duration: 2–3 hours (zipline only); 4–5 hours (zipline + Via Ferrata)
- Fitness level: moderate/high, a 4 out of 5. There is uphill trekking to reach the platform. You don’t need to be an athlete, but this is a physical day.
The Zipline: 700m Over Canyon and Waterfalls
700 meters long. 300 meters high. Three waterfalls below.
This is a double-line setup, it’s two long runs over the gorge rather than a series of shorter cables. You launch from the platform at the canyon’s edge and fly directly over the waterfalls. The cable angle and the drop below make it feel genuinely exposed, in a good way. Then you fly back and trek up the mountainside back to your original starting point.
Our guides handle all equipment checks and run a full safety briefing before you go. Full risk insurance is included, and the gear is inspected before every session.
This Tour Is Physical
Expect uphill and downhill trekking on uneven trail to reach the platform and back. If you add the Via Ferrata, you’re doing a 90-meter vertical rock climb on top of that. You don’t need to be an athlete, but you do need to be in decent shape. If you’re a 3 out of 5 on fitness, you’ll have a good day. If you’re a 1, this isn’t the right tour.
What to Bring
Closed-toe shoes with a decent grip because you hike up to the platform. Light, breathable clothes. Water, sunscreen, and a snack for the trail. A phone or small action cam works better than a full camera bag when you’re in a harness. Valuables can stay in the vehicle.
See It for Yourself
40 seconds. This is what the zipline looks like from the harness.

Want To Rock Climb in Medellín?
Bundle with Via Ferrata: The Ox’s Jump
After the zipline, you hike 15 minutes to The Ox’s Jump waterfall. From there, you climb 90 meters straight up the rock face alongside it. That’s Via Ferrata: iron rungs and cables bolted into the cliff, no ropes required, just grip and legs.
It’s a serious physical effort. Your upper body takes most of it. Once you start the climb, you finish it. If you’re in good shape and want the bigger version of the day, this is it.

2 persons ……. $245 USD each
3 persons …… $195 USD each
4 persons ……. $165 USD each
5 persons ……. $160 USD each
6 persons …….. $155 USD each
